Soumyadeep Bhaumik is a Research Fellow at the George Institute for Global Health. He has studied medicine at Bankura Sammilani Medical College, India and international public health at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, United Kingdom.
Soumyadeep has extensive experience in the domain of evidence syntheses and development of evaluation tools for health programs. His other research interests are clinical practice guidelines, equity, and health policy. Soumyadeep has previously worked as a researcher with the Public Health Foundation of India, Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, Cochrane South Asia and as an emergency physician in Columbia Asia Hospitals, Salt Lake.
At The George Institute, Soumyadeep is providing operational and technical support to the multi-centric studies on injury and rehabilitation. Soumyadeep is also involved in several projects conducting evidence syntheses in the domain of injuries. Soumyadeep is also an Associate Editor, Evidence Synthesis, BMJ Global Health and Co-Convenor of the Cochrane Priority Setting Methods Group.
