Training for I-CARE pilot study launched

The training for Integrating Depression Care in Acute Coronary Syndromes Patients in Low Resource Hospitals in China (I-Care Study) pilot study was successfully held from 21st to 24th, May 2014. Professor Yangfeng WU from The George Institute China and Professor Xin YU from Peking University Sixth Hospital jointly hosted the training sessions.

Other lecturers included Dr Ronghuan JIANG, Dr Cuan SHI, Dr Wei SUN from Peking University Sixth Hospital, Dr Xindu from Anzhen Hospital, Dr Sheng NIU from Department of Psychology, Beijing No. 301 Hospital, and other experts in the field of cardiology and psychology. Participants were doctors, nurses and volunteers from Shanxi Yu County People’s Hospital and Shanxi Yuanping City Hospital.

The whole training sessions went very smoothly. After the training, researchers and health workers from the two hospitals will return to their work and conduct the pilot study in a short time.
