Research Assistant

Shrutika Murthy is a Research Assistant at the George Institute, working on the ARISE Hub – a project aimed at strengthening accountability mechanisms for improving equitable health and well-being for people living and working in informal urban spaces. Shrutika possesses an inter-disciplinary background, having graduated with a Bachelors in Economics from Symbiosis International University, Pune and a Masters in Politics with specialisation in International Relations from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.

She has studied development economics, public administration and policy, environmental economics, minorities in world politics and political economy of south Asia. Her work and research interests have been on issues pertaining to public health, slum rehabilitation, health systems and policy.
