Dr Maryam Correa
Dr Maryam Correa is the Manager of Academic Project Operations. She has over 17 years of experience in clinical research and has previously worked as a Project Manager in Critical Care Medicine, Clinical Trial Specialist in therapeutic fields of Leukaemia, lung cancer, COPD and as a Clinical Trial Coordinator and Research Officer in therapeutic field of gastroenterology and hepatic disease.
At the George Institute, Maryam was the Lead Project Manager of SuDDICU, FLUID TRIPS and CHEST studies and has also been involved in ADRENAL, BLINGII and HEAT as a Senior Clinical Research Associate within the Critical Care program. Her expertise is in clinical trial operational management, training and development, resource and quality management, regulatory processes, personnel, project and program management.
Maryam has a PhD in anatomical aspects of the development of sense of taste in humans. Specifically developing a rapid and non-invasive procedure for quantifying fungiform papillae on the anterior tongue of humans, both in laboratory and clinical settings.
