Laura Fisher has a background in law and public health policy and manages the Commercial Determinants of Health (CDoH) initiative at the George Institute, alongside working on a range of Healthier Societies projects. Professionally, Laura has worked at the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade on its COVID-19 vaccine access initiative, was a Senior Manager of Policy at Gavi, The Vaccine Alliance, and held various roles within government covering national health and hospital reforms and better care for people with non-communicable diseases.

She holds a Master of Global Health and Development from University College London and a LLB/BHSc from the University of Adelaide. Laura has also previously conducted and published research on barriers and enablers to implementing WHO’s Recommendations on marketing of unhealthy foods and beverages to children in Nepal.
