Helen Trevena is a PhD student at The George Institute for Global Health. Her work involves the analyses, monitoring and engagement of the food industry. The objective is to improve the composition of processed food through targeted actions.
In March 2012, Helen commenced a PhD at the University of Sydney, School of Public Health examining the characteristics of the food industry and the factors that drive reformulation. The findings will underpin future efforts to ensure the Australian food industry makes improvements to the quality of the food it provides. Helen has extensive FMCG industry experience in the UK and Asia Pacific, and holds an MBA and Masters in Human Nutrition.
