Emalie Rosewarne is a Research Fellow and Accredited Practising Dietitian within The George Institute for Global Health’s Food Policy Division. Her research program supports the World Health Organization Collaborating Centre on Population Salt Reduction and Public Health Advocacy and Policy Impact team.
Emalie’s current research program supports projects on improving food and water security, and food intake, in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in Australia, scaling up the use of potassium-enriched salts in the Australian food supply and working towards national nutrition standards for publicly funded institutions.
Emalie’s completed her PhD at UNSW in 2023. Her doctoral research focused on designing, implementing and evaluating policies and advocacy to create healthier food environments in Australia and globally, with a particular focus on salt reduction strategies. Emalie also holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) and a Master of Nutrition and Dietetics (MNutrDiet) from The University of Sydney.
