Connecting climate, NCDs & women’s health at Women Deliver 2026
The George Institute for Global Health is proud to join thousands of advocates, researchers, community leaders, and changemakers at Women Deliver 2026 (Melbourne, 27–30 April) as an Ally Sponsor. This is the first time this global convening will be held in the Asia Pacific region. We will be taking this wonderful opportunity to share our work on climate change, non-communicable diseases (such as heart disease, diabetes and stroke) and women’s health with new people from the civil society, philanthropy, and the global health community.
Why Women Deliver?
Women Deliver 2026 will center the leadership, knowledge, and resistance of feminists, activists, and First Nations leaders across the Oceanic Pacific, a region at the forefront of climate justice, gender equality, and decolonization. This alignment is an opportunity to demonstrate our work prioritising women’s health to achieve universal health coverage and develop fair, effective health systems. Our presence will also contribute to discussions on this ahead of key global moments, including the World Health Assembly in May, the pre- 2026 UN Climate Change Conference (COP31) hosted in Fiji, and the UN High Level Meeting on UHC in 2027.
We invite you to visit our exhibition booth (H13 & H14) positioned near the coffee cart and the Climate Stage, to speak with our world-leading experts, hear more about our work and meet with potential collaborators.
Tuesday 28 April: Climate Justice at the Heart of Women’s Health
With a stellar panel of experts, this session will explore how climate change, gender equality, and health intersect in the Pacific, with a focus on community-led, gender responsive solutions.
