Enhancing healthcare worker resilience

The George Institute of Global Health, in collaboration with Reach Digital Health and Dimagi will be hosting a special virtual celebrating the accomplishments and learnings from The Resilience Collaborative’s 2024-2025 phase.

The Resilience Collaborative 2024 - 25: Enhancing healthcare worker resilience by co-developing evidence-based solutions for scale (RECONNECTIONS)

This project marked a focused effort to translate learning into action. Implemented collaboratively by The George Institute for Global Health, Reach Digital Health, and Dimagi, the RECONNECTIONS initiative aimed to:

  • To advance equitable quality of care by prioritising the wellbeing and resilience of HCWs and the systems they support through leadership development and capacity building.
  • To enable the TRC to become an established institution supporting the health workforce by equipping HCWs with actionable insights to enhance resilience.
  • To strategically disseminate learnings to empower HCWs and influence policy

Over the 2024–2025 implementation period, The George Institute, Reach & Dimagi collaboratively refined and expanded resilience building interventions, strengthened leadership development and contributed to an evolving evidence base to build resilience, address burnout and wellbeing challenges among healthcare workers. The project emphasised co-development, shared ownership, and participatory learning, reinforcing TRC’s role as an enabling platform for the adoption and scale up of evidence-based approaches to healthcare worker resilience.

With the completion of the RECONNECTIONS initiative in December 2025, this virtual dissemination event will share key insights, learnings, and lessons from the journey, offering reflections on what works, what enables scale, and what lies ahead for strengthening healthcare worker resilience.
