Head of Development

As Head of Development, Louise is responsible for leading and implementing the fundraising strategy for the Nuffield Department of Women’s & Reproductive Health, including the George Institute for Global Health, UK.

Her focus is on securing major gifts to support the priorities of the Department and the Institute, and build a sustainable philanthropic income stream.

She has over ten years’ experience fundraising at a senior strategic level within the university sector, working with academic colleagues, volunteers and major donors to forge strong philanthropic relationships, solicit major gifts and create robust pipelines for future income. 

Louise splits her time equally between the Nuffield Department of Women’s & Reproductive Health and the George Institute for Global Health, and works closely with the central University of Oxford Development Office.

Previously, Louise worked as a marketing specialist for scientific and medical publishers, including Blackwell Publishing, McGraw-Hill and Elsevier Science.
