In 2020, Imperial College London and The George Institute for Global Health embarked on a new partnership to drive the development, evaluation, and implementation of innovative and sustainable solutions to some of the world’s greatest health challenges. The George Institute in the UK is now seeking an exceptional academic leader to help us increase our academic outputs, further our excellence in both research and people development, and grow the impact of our research on global policy and practice.
To deliver this mission, The George Institute UK will focus its research in the three key areas of health systems, women’s health and multimorbidity, as well as supporting collaborative initiatives in clinical trials and planetary health. 

The Executive Director of The George Institute UK will lead The George Institute’s collaboration with Imperial and support the missions of both organisations. As well as conducting your own programme of research, you will develop and implement a vision and strategic plan for the long-term growth of The George Institute UK at Imperial College London. As the Executive Director you will lead strategic planning, people strategy and development, and revenue generation. You will also be central to the recruitment of three senior professorial-level academics who will lead The George Institute UK’s programmes in health systems, women’s health and multimorbidity research. As a member of the global Senior Management Group of The George Institute, you will be responsible for supporting the achievement of The George Institute’s overarching strategic plan (Strategy 2025) and contribute to the development and implementation of a vision and plan for the next phase of growth for the global organisation (Strategy 2030).
