Lisa Dillon joined the George Institute in May 2016 as a PhD Candidate with the Injury Division. Lisa is also an Orientation and Mobility Specialist, teaching individuals of all ages with vision impairment to travel safely, confidently and independently in their environment. Previously, Lisa has worked with adults who have sustained injury due to workplace incidents return to work and remain independent.
Dr Arpita Ghosh works at the George Institute for Global Health India as a Senior Research Fellow on Big Data. She received her doctoral training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and post-doctoral training at the National Cancer Institute.
Soumyadeep Bhaumik is a Research Fellow at the George Institute for Global Health. He has studied medicine at Bankura Sammilani Medical College, India and international public health at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, United Kingdom.
"My work is intended to empower community health workers and primary care physicians to work together to detect, refer and manage pregnant women who are at increased risk of heart disease and stroke. The technology is a tool to achieve this collaborative approach, and to strengthen the health system in rural areas. "
"Now, my work is to expand mHealth to a range of fields, such as electronic health, the health science and technology, and to promote the research of this area. We not only focus on how to develop a product, but also try to merge digital solution into the healthcare system and the management and prevention of diseases."
