Sharon is a Clinical Research Associate with the Critical Care and Trauma Division, managing the Target Temperature Management after cardiac arrest Trial (TTM-Trial); as well as assisting with several projects currently in operation in the Critical Care and Trauma Division. Sharon is a Registered Nurse with a post-graduate certificate in Critical Care Nursing (Intensive Care), and has worked in both clinical and research coordinator roles in intensive care for the past ten years.
Sharon is responsible for the coordination of multiple clinical trials and research projects conducted within the Intensive Care Unit at Liverpool Hospital. Whilst working in research, Sharon has coordinated studies in the areas of blood glucose control, renal failure, nutrition, severe trauma, traumatic brain injury, haemostasis, fluid resuscitation, antibiotic use and barriers to documenting not-for-CPR orders.
