Women’s and child health
Wellbeing of women and child is important indicator shaping one nation’s developmental level. Although Chinese government has made great achievements in women and child health over the last 30 decades, urban/rural and east/west gaps remain, with inadequate service capacity, the new two-child policy and growing numbers of older women within the maternal age range adding new challenges to women and child health.
Women’s and child health unit seeks to identify and examine interventions that mitigating the gap between supply and demand, improve service quality and health of women and children through innovative approaches and perspectives, such as mHealth and big data analysis. Together with governmental and academic partners, we have recently completed systematic review of mHealth interventions in maternal and Child Health Care in China and abroad, and developed 1000 Days mobile application to improve service quality and efficiency for women and child health.
