Pallab leads Research department at The George Institute for Global Health, India. He trained as a psychiatrist at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, received training in public health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, as well as Johns Hopkins School of Public Health where he pursued his Masters and Doctoral training. He brings a wealth of experience to the Institute, with an expertise in mental health.

Dr. Praveen is a public health specialist with thorough knowledge of epidemiological study designs and having a keen interest in systems based innovations to address inequities related to chronic diseases.
Devaki Nambiar is Program Head – Health Systems and Equity at the George Institute for Global Health. She has a doctorate in public health from Johns Hopkins.Dr. Nambiar has close to a decade and a half of research experience in over half a dozen countries and as many Indian states.
Dr Arpita Ghosh works at the George Institute for Global Health India as a Senior Research Fellow on Big Data. Arpita received her doctoral training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and post-doctoral training at the National Cancer Institute.
Josyula K. Lakshmi is a is a Senior Research Fellow at the George Institute, working on the LIVING study – a lifestyle intervention for diabetes prevention in women with prior gestational diabetes.She has a Bachelor's degree in Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery, a Master of Science in Health Promotion, and a PhD in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention, and Gerontology.
Oommen John is Senior Research Fellow at The George Institute. He completed his undergraduate and post graduate training in Internal Medicine at the Christian Medical College, Ludhiana, India. He has also undertaken executive business management training from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta.
Dr Susmita Chaterjee works at The George Institute for Global Health India as a Senior Health Economist. She has a PhD from the University of Calcutta, and is interested in investigating costing of health services, health financing, and economic evaluations.
Surekha Garimella is a Senior Research Fellow at the George Institute, working on the ARISE Hub – a project aimed at strengthening accountability mechanisms for improving equitable health and well-being for people living and working in informal urban spaces. Surekha holds a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, a Master of Science in Nutrition & Food science, a Master of Philosophy in Applied economics, and a PhD in Public Health, Gender and Work.
