On 15th of October 2019 The George Institute for Global Health held a panel discussion, ‘Data, science and achieving the sustainable development goals’ featuring two leading experts, Associate Professors Abraham Flaxman (IMHE) and Rohina Joshi (UNSW). The United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goal 3 aims to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages.

This year’s nutrition week is all about promoting fruit and vegetable consumption but our Scientia PhD student Briar McKenzie is examining differences in dietary intake for women and men, and whether we need gender sensitive policies to improve nutrition.

NEW DELHI, OCT 15. In what can be considered as a very important step in the care of patients with kidney disease in India, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has come up with guidelines for establishing peritoneal dialysis services under the Pradhan Mantri National Dialysis Program. It has also requested all States to include proposals for establishing peritoneal dialysis under their respective program implementation plans.

On 4 October 2019, over 100 members of the University of Oxford gathered to highlight research being conducted into women’s health across all divisions, and explore the potential for a transdisciplinary approach to generate much-needed improvements in women’s and girls’ health and equality around the world.
