Senior Project Manager

Research Overview
ARTEMIS is a cluster randomized controlled trial on the use of a technology enabled delivery of mental health care by primary healthcare workers for depression, suicide and stress among adolescents in urban slum communities in two cities of India. The project will be conducted across 2 cities – Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh, and New Delhi in Delhi. At each site it will cover about 30 slum communities.

Position Overview
The role would involve managing field staff, developing networks with government and non-government stakeholders, communities and adolescent populations, and achieving time-bound project goals.  The Senior Project Manager is expected to take a leading role in implementing and provide oversight of the ARTEMIS project in Delhi
The position is based in Delhi and the Senior Project Manager is expected to work for 6 days a week.

Roles and Responsibilities

The appointee will be responsible for leading and managing the conduct of the project in Delhi under the guidance of the Senior Research Fellow. She or he will be actively involved in the implementation of the intervention with the support of the local operational staff and her/his responsibilities will include:

•Building and maintaining key stakeholder relationships,
 including relationships with Government of Delhi, partners and  
 collaborating staff at the sites.
•Contributing to implementing the project, involving the
 recruitment of staff, patients; data collection at baseline and
 follow-up
•Developing and adhering to standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the programme implementation, and supporting
 study sites in implementing SOPs
•Coordination between all the stakeholders and ensuring
 efficient implementation as per the defined workplan and
 timetable of activities.
•Tracking projects and reporting on progress and issues
•Contributing to the development of funding applications and
 other proposals, as per need
•Driving the team members to deliver results which impact the
  wider function and Institute.
•Making quality and timely decisions in the best interest of The
 Institute.
 

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

•Exerience of 7-8 years
•Extensive knowledge of project management principles
•Excellent time management
•Experience in managing project teams or providing guidance
  and knowledge to  junior staff
•Recognised by others as a knowledge source
•Wide-ranging in-depth experience and may have specialist
 qualifications
•Excellent abilities in written and verbal communication 
•Strong negotiating and influencing ability
•Ability to give excellent presentations
•Is a senior member of the team and therefore provides input
 and guidance regularly
•Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well and
  flexibly
•Ability to see the big picture, yet still focus on detail
•Ability to be flexible and adaptable in the face of changing 
 organisational priorities and ambiguous environments.
•Strong focus on quality of work
