We are now open to receiving applications for a Researcher to join our Planetary Health Project (all applications from Research Assistant through to Senior Research Associate will be considered for suitable candidates). The Planetary Health Project is an innovative study, examining the greenhouse gas emissions associated with various food product categories. The successful Researcher will be involved in all aspects of the project.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Assisting in the development of protocols to estimate the environmental impact of food products
- Identifying relevant databases and literature on topics relating to the environmental impacts of food production and distribution
- Assisting with the preparation of funding applications and journal articles on the topics of food and the environment
Success in this role, will be based on a range of key skills and experience:
- Skills and training in standard methodology relating to quantifying the environmental impact of food products (e.g. lifecycle analysis)
- Quantitative analysis skills
- A track record of publications in relevant areas
- A postgraduate qualification in a related field
- Strong writing ability
- Ability to work in a team
