A research opportunity exists for a PhD student to join a world class team of researchers and make important discoveries on the efficacy and role of opioid analgesics in the management of people with spinal pain. As part of this research the candidate will be involved in conducting a clinical trial funded by the National Health and Research Council (NHMRC). This opportunity is available full time and would be suitable for students with a background in medicine, pharmacy, or management of spinal pain or musculoskeletal disorders from related health disciplines. This is currently an unpaid postgraduate opportunity, although extensive support and assistance will be provided from your supervisor and the Institute’s internal research office to obtain external funding/scholarships. A top-up scholarship will be offered for holders of an externally-funded PhD scholarship (e.g. NHMRC, APA).
