The George Institute has establishing a new Centre for domestic health services research to help support ‘translational' research that addresses the gaps between evidence and practice in the management of those at risk of or with chronic disease and injury. Aside from creating a natural home for health services research, an important aim of this Centre will be to enhance relationships with key stakeholders in health and to conduct ‘end-user driven' research that appropriately addresses their priorities. The Centre has two programs of research; an Academic Program (projects that are largely investigator-initiated) and a Commissioned Research Program. The Commissioned Research Program will comprise projects awarded to the George through competitive tenders and short-term contracts.
To drive this program we are seeking a Head of Commissioned Research to engage with Sydney Local Health District and associated stakeholders, develop partnerships and lead project plans. This role is integral to the success of the Commissioned Research program. This role is a full time role for 1 year fix term with scope for renewal.
