Katherine Brown is a PhD student in the Injury Division of the George Institute. Katherine is a qualified Orthoptist, and has postgraduate qualifications in Health Information Management and Clinical Epidemiology. She has over fourteen years experience in health data analysis and reporting on administrative, clinical, population health, performance, trauma and injury data.
Katherine’s research area is health outcomes following road injury in older people. She is particularly interested in the potential of data linkage of health data sets (especially pre-hospital, emergency, hospital inpatient and related data) to inform research and improve patient short and long term outcomes. Katherine is funded by an Australian Postgraduate Award from the University of Sydney.
