Professor Kate Curtis
Professor Kate Curtis is an internationally respected trauma nurse and researcher with a special interest in trauma models of care, emergency and trauma nursing and financial aspects of trauma systems. Kate has an Emergency Nursing background and is a Trauma Clinical Nurse Consultant at St George Hospital Sydney and Professor at Sydney Nursing School.
Kate has post graduate qualifications in Critical Care Nursing, and a PhD, investigating the impact of the trauma case manager on patient outcomes. She works casually as an RN in Wollongong Emergency Department, is an EMST coordinator for the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, a conjoint A/Prof with UNSW St George Clinical School, on the NSW Board of the College of Emergency Nurses Australasia and the Editorial Board of the Australasian Journal of Emergency Nursing.
