Geoff Chandler is the Global FoodSwitch Manager of the Food Policy Division at the George Institute Australia, providing the support to implement FoodSwitch across the Globe.
Geoff has spent 20+ years in the food industry where he has moved from food science into IT and Project Management. He has qualifications in Food Science (Dip – Goulburn), is Prince2 Accredited and is a Registered Agile Project Manager. Geoff is a Senior Business Analyst / Project Manager with a proven background in the development and implementation of Business Process, IT solutions and infrastructure with extensive experience with Global FMCG, Retail and large business, covering solutions including Web (SaaS), PLM, CRM, Safety, ITIL and various ERP applications for major companies like Campbells Soup, Arnotts Biscuits, Snackfoods, Players Biscuits, Telstra and Wesfarmers/Coles/Target.
Geoff’s roles have included the merging of Campbell, Arnott, Snackfoods and Players into a single entity as Business Process Owner Asia Pacific having a seat on the Campbell Global Process Board. Being part of the Regulatory Team his responsibilities were to ensure adherence to legislative and regulatory Food Labelling as well as allergen control at the manufacturing level, incorporating GMP, HACCP and ISO. At Telstra Geoff lead the methodology and standards development across the Telstra ‘Transformation’ project with over 1000 Business Analysts, and provided the solution and implementation for a 400 person strong Incident Management Centre. Roles throughout Wesfarmers have included setting up new multi-national companies testing new infrastructure, warehousing, ERP and cloud computing online solutions.
