Dorrilyn Rajbhandari is the Project Manager of the Adjunctive Corticosteroid Treatment in Critically ill patients with septic shock (ADRENAL study) as part of the Critical Care and Trauma division at the George Institute. She was the first Research Co-ordinator at RPAH, Intensive Care in 1999 where she was responsible for the co-ordination of all clinical trials conducted in the unit.
Dorrilyn's research in critical care has been in the area of analgesia, sedation and delirium with long term follow-up and she has coordinated trials covering a broad range of intensive care topics including sepsis, traumatic brain injury, acute lung injury, dialysis, resuscitation fluid, nutrition and haemostasis, in critically ill patients. She is also involved in improving communication and safety, research coordinator role development and supporting post graduated researchers. Prior to this role she has been a practising Clinical Nurse Specialist in acute care areas for over 20 years.
