Underscoring the urgent need for countries like India to put women’s cancers on the map of the public health agenda, the Vice-Chancellor of UNSW Sydney, Prof Ian Jacobs today said India can benefit immensely from the global experience on screening and prevention in the area of ovarian and cervical cancers.

The George Institute, Australia welcomes the Senate report on the obesity epidemic into Australia, released December 2018. The report has recommended a range of measures, including the establishment of a national obesity taskforce, that we support and would like to see greater investment in.

Women in China have greater awareness, treatment, and control of hypertension than their male counterparts, new research from The George Institute for Global Health at the University of Oxford has found.

On 30 November 2018, The George Institute of Global Health and Beijing Jishuitan Hospital successfully held a lecture on clinical medical research, using real research cases as evidence to jointly discuss issues regarding medical research, as well as new opportunities, ideas and methodologies that can be applied in the current study. More than 30 medical staff from internal and external of the hospital attended the lecture.
