Professor Stephen MacMahon - Principal Director, The George Institute
Stephen MacMahon is Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine and Epidemiology at the University of Sydney and Honorary Consultant Epidemiologist at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney. He holds Honorary Professorships at the Peking University Health Science Center and the University of Auckland Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association, and the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand.

Rachel Huxley holds a conjoint Senior Lectureship in the Faculty of Medicine, School of Public Health at The University of Sydney. Her research activities focus on the role of lifestyle determinants of chronic disease and injury, with particular emphasis on low and middle-income countries. She has wide experience in the conduct of meta-analyses of observational studies. Dr Huxley lectures in Public Health at The University of Sydney and has published widely in journals including The Lancet, Stroke and Journal of Hypertension.

Dr Rebecca Ivers - Director, Injury Research
Rebecca is an injury epidemiologist who has published widely in the fields of road traffic injury and falls prevention. Rebecca is currently leading a series of systematic reviews examining the effectiveness of interventions in motorcycle safety, and is the lead investigator on the DRIVE Study, a cohort study of over 20,000 young drivers. Her research also includes studies in road injury prevention in India, Vietnam and China and she coordinates three injury prevention courses at The University of Sydney.

Dr Teresa Senserrick - Senior Research Fellow, Injury
Her training is in developmental psychology and she has worked in health and injury research fields for almost two decades based in Australia, the United States and Sweden. Teresa has specialised in research on young and novice drivers and their passengers, including international reviews of best practice, particularly in driver education, training and graduated licensing. She has been sought out as a guest speaker and reviewer, including for the National Institutes of Health in the US, and several high-impact, peer-reviewed journals. Current projects include the DRIVE study and a review of novice driver education, training and licensing in China.

Dr Craig Anderson - Director, Neurological and Mental Health Research
Professor of Stroke Medicine and Clinical Neuroscience, Faculty of Medicine, University of Sydney and the Department of Neurosciences, RPA Hospital. Maree is conjoint Senior Lecturer within the Faculty of Medicine of The University of Sydney. Associate Professor John Myburgh - Co-Director, Critical Care and Trauma Research
John Myburgh is conjoint Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of New South Wales and an Honorary Associate Professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine at Monash University. He is also lead clinician in the Department of Intensive Care Medicine at the St. George Hospital, Sydney. John has extensive research experience in neurophysiology, catecholamine pharmacology, aspects of traumatic brain injury and intensive care medicine. His current interests are large-scale, multi-centred clinical trials in critical care, both within in Australasia and internationally.

Professor Chris Maher - Director, Musculoskeletal Research
Chris is a professor in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Sydney. Chris is an NHMRC Senior Research Fellow and a member of the Advisory Panel of the Cochrane Back Review Goup.
